T. Radio Program Spectrum 360 Posts Interview With Jonathan Edwards On The No Dakota Access Pipeline Demonstration At The Sacred Stone Camp

This is the interview that Mark Skogman and T. K. Weeks did on Mon. 29 Aug. ’16 on the last radio program Spectrum 360 with Jonathan Edwards.  He is a Native American man that is participating in the Demonstration against the Dakota Access Pipeline (N. D. A. P.) at the Sacred Rock camp by the Standing Rock Indian Reservation, near Cannonball, North Dakota.  This also comprises the area of the Red Warrior camp as well.  This is the area that President Obama visited in person to meet with the tribes in this area one to two years ago.  This is a gathering of Indian tribes that has not happened for over 100 years since 25 June, 1876 (!) when the 7 tribes of the Lakota or Sioux gathered for the 7 council fires of the Oceti Sakowin (pronounced O- check- ee Sa- cow- in) and has attracted about 2500- 4000 people from all over the world to the camp to stop this dangerous pipeline that if constructed as planned would cross the Missouri River and threaten the Mississippi River  watershed.  These people are on the front lines of working against climate change!  Listen to this important interview!

Vehicular Terrorist Attack In Nice, France

Thursday, 14 July, 2016 was Bastille Day in the country of France.  Bastille Day is celebrated as a day of independence in France with fireworks displays.  It is much like Independence Day on the fourth of July in the United States.  In Nice, France at about 10:40PM local time, as people gathered to watch fireworks, a man attacked the public with a large box truck by deliberately driving into crowds of people and injuring and killing people.  He also fired weapons from the truck cab as he drove.  There were weapons and grenades reportedly found in the truck. The truck driver was shot to death by police to stop the attack.  Initial reports indicate that the mayor of Nice France is stating there are 77 dead from the attack.  Other reports put the death count between 60 to 70 people.  It is being treated as a possible terrorist attack.  Local police have cleared the attack area and secured it and are assisting the injured people.  This is an ongoing story.  There has been no publicized claim of responsibility to this time.

It was just announced a few minutes ago on MSNBC’s First Look early morning news program that Sir George Martin has died at age 90. George Martin was the record producer that first produced and recorded a then almost unknown English band from Liverpool, England first called the Silver Beatles and then simply the Beatles. Yes, that Beatles.

Martin was a pioneer in record producing, recording engineering and production of modern popular music and also comedy recordings on the Parlaphone label in England, working with his assistant Geoff Emerick.  Sir George was the producer for the Beatles from June, 1962 until 1970, all the way until the final “Let It Be” album that was produced by the legendary record producer Phil “Wall Of Sound” Spector. He was sometimes known as “the fifth Beatle” and produced 13 albums and 22 singles for the Beatles.

He lived through the era in the 1960’s that saw an veritable explosion of interest in modern rock popular music exemplified by the Beatles and the so called “British Invasion” and development of modern multi- track studio recording techniques and equipment. People sometimes forget that early Beatles albums were recorded on just 4 tracks, which was a lot at the time. He was the producer for such famous and historic albums as “Rubber Soul”, “Revolver” and “Sargeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band”. What a life. I revered him for his place in history and for his place in an industry that I have spent a lot of time in during my life. George Martin, go with God.
